Julie Adams creates her paintings with a personal feeling for the subject, an intuitive use of color and rich textures. "I paint what moves me or interests me at the moment, as i respond to a mood, place or view out my window."
As a "Watermedia" Artist", these paintings are often a combination of techniques using Watercolor, Arcylic, Ink, Collage', and Crayon or Pastel.

I am a watermedia painter who also teaches classes. After teaching art in the public schools for 27 years, I am now enjoy paintng at my Riverside Studio on the Apple River, in Northern Wisconsin. I am inspired by the changing view out my windows, my garden, and my travels to Italy & Japan, along with interesting collections of objects . Besides painting on my own, I enjoy the company of other artists, as we learn from each other. I am a member of two art guilds: EarthArts- we have an Artists Studio Tour, the first weekend of May, where you can visit my studio, as well as many studios & galleries,of the Upper St. Croix Valley. As a member of The ArtWeb I am involved in group shows and challenges such as the show "A Place at the Table", where I made a chair from my willow tree, as you see above right. of Flower Arranging and Art in local galleries, and raise money that we give as art scholarships.
